Photographer Haakon Michael Harriss (b.1974) studied Bachelor of Photography (honors) at The Surrey Institute Of Art And Design, England.
His approach to photography is portraiture and documentary and he is influenced by early twentieth century photographers. One of his distinguishing photographic qualities, or his portrait signature, is the characteristic way he instructs and stages his subjects. The portraits manages to capture a sence of coinsidence and honesty. His main focus is on the everyday life and situations, but he also has a fascination for landscapes.
Haakon is regularly on assignments, both in Norway and abroad, on behalf of advertising and editorial clients.
