Denise Van Leeuwen
Denise Van Leeuwen was born in Heinkenszand, the Netherlands in 1981. “Coming from a creative family I knew at a very early age that I loved drawing. I started freelancing after my graduation from the Willem de Kooning academy in 2005. I create my illustrations with pen and pencil, sometimes with coloured pencil, but mostly graphite. The models in my drawings are usually friends and family, although you might recognize me in some of them.”

inspiration: 1960’s ads, Alfons Mucha, fashion, typography.
