Amanda was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She received her BFA from Edinboro University and has worked as a graphic designer, an art director, a props-fabricator for Bjork’s Wanderlust music video and as a sculptor for an architectural/ornamental plaster firm.
She recieved her MFA this year from the New York Academy of Art, where she was awarded the David Kratz & Gregory Unis scholarship of merit. She was also selected to be an artist-in-residence last summer at the Terra Foundation of American Art in Europe located in Giverny, France.
This past summer, she was in Altos de Chavon, Dominican Republic, completing an artist residency and teaching an oil painting intensive workshop. She lives and works in New York City.
