Alex Strohl
Alex Strohl is a 22-year-old Frenchman whose passion is photojournalism. Alex was born in Madrid and spent his first 15 years under the austere and radiant Castilian sun.
He then moved with his family to the south of France before settling in Quebec, Canada, where he pursued his studies in graphic design. The quiet wildness and immensity of Canada were a revelation to him. Ever since his first visit to a foreign country (the U.S.) when he was 11, Alex has loved to travel.
He has traversed and photographed – mostly by himself – just a small part of the Earth, and he intends to keep going as long as there are places he hasn’t seen. His primary motivation for a journey is to soak up the atmosphere of a location or situation and then freeze it in a few shots.
His goal is to capture the emotions aroused by a scene of which he is only the witness. Each day as he travels into the unknown, Alex takes joy in allowing his camera to lead him to a face, an abandoned building or a forest bathed in haze.
